Description

Intro Level TPP

Learn the basic principles of filmmaking while producing 2-3 minute documentaries in a collaborative learning environment.  Students are assigned to a crew of filmmakers to produce a short documentary focused on community issues important to youth. Technical instruction focuses on intro to cinematography, basic lighting techniques, interviewing skills, storyboarding, camera skills, and how to edit their projects in Adobe Premiere Pro. In addition, this program aims to empower each student to become his or her own unique storyteller (ages 13-18).

Advanced Level TPP

Take your filmmaking skills to a higher level. Students are required to have at least one year of experience in filmmaking and proficient in the following skills: manually exposing and focusing on a DSLR camera system, operating a boom microphone and external audio field recorder, and working in post production/editing on Adobe Premiere Pro. The program is instructed by a local professional filmmaker. This class guides students through the process of creating a short narrative film. Write a script, scout locations, audition and work with professional actors, learn advanced cinematography skills, advanced lighting techniques, advanced editing techniques, and more! (Ages 14-18)
